Prepare a real portrait at home
Choose a usable original, set up the camera and know when a retake will help more than editing.
Crop and resize your portrait, choose a photo size and download a 4x6 inch print sheet. No account needed. Check your issuing authority’s requirements before submitting.

For a paper application. Online passport renewal has its own original-photo upload workflow; a 600 × 600 print crop is not an online-renewal recommendation.
