About PhotoID Studio

What this tool does

PhotoID Studio is an independent online photo sizing tool. Select a portrait, choose a passport or visa size preset, adjust its position and rotation, and download an individual image or a printable sheet. Custom dimensions are available when your application requires a different size.

The core editor is free to use without an account. It works on phones, tablets and computers with a modern browser. Start with a recent, sharp photo, even lighting and a plain background.

How your photo is handled

Cropping, resizing and sheet layout take place in your browser. The core editor does not upload your selected portrait to our server. Downloads are saved to the location selected by your browser.

Optional AI chat, generated portraits and spoken guidance use online services. Our Privacy Policy explains these separate data flows and the advertising services on this website.

What the tool cannot promise

PhotoID Studio is not a government agency, embassy or document verification service. Size presets and framing guides help with preparation but do not certify compliance. Background color controls fill the canvas rather than automatically removing an opaque background.

The issuing authority decides whether a photo is acceptable. Check its current rules for dimensions, head position, editing, paper and digital uploads. AI-generated portraits are for creative use and must not be used for official identification where generated or altered images are prohibited.

How to use our photo guides

Our practical guides explain the workflow in this editor: preparing an original, choosing dimensions, printing at actual size and resolving file problems. We link to issuing authorities where a rule is discussed, and identify the date each guide was reviewed. Guides are preparation aids, not a replacement for the instructions supplied with your application.

If a preset and an official requirement disagree, follow the official instructions and send us the source through Contact. A print-size example must not be assumed to meet an online upload requirement.

How the guidance is maintained

Our size reference separates print dimensions from application workflows and links each document preset to its original source. We narrow a preset’s label when a rule applies to a particular document, and identify generic sizes as templates. The source-check date tells you when those notes were compared with the linked pages.

The framing illustrations are original teaching diagrams. Local file and crop checks measure pixels, file size and rectangle coverage; they do not assess identity, expression or government acceptance. Send a correction through Contact with the application method and official link. We do not publish acceptance-rate claims or present an unchecked AI answer as a verified rule.

How the website is supported

The site displays Google AdSense advertising to help cover running costs. The editor and downloads are free to use, and clicking an advertisement is never required. External printing services set their own prices and policies.
