Photo preparation guides

Start with the task you need to finish. These walkthroughs explain what to check before, during and after using PhotoID Studio.

Preparing a useful photo involves more than choosing a preset. Work from the instructions for your exact application, keep the original file and check the exported result. These guides cover the tool’s workflow and limitations; they do not replace an issuing authority’s requirements.

How to use these guides

If you have not taken a photo yet, start with the capture guide. If you already have a good original, check the dimensions guide before selecting a preset. Continue to printing only when you need paper copies; an online application may require your original uncropped photograph instead.

Each walkthrough links to relevant source guidance and shows when it was reviewed. Application instructions and browser behaviour can change. For an unexplained tool problem, use the contact page and describe the failing step.
